I will not vote for the Clintons because they do not have any moral character. They will do anything to win. Hillary had a chance with the health care bill and blew it. She and Bill have made too mnay enemies with the Republican and the Democrats. They do not know how to corporate with people. Everything has to be their way. I will vote for McCain if Obama is not the nominee. America is crying out for a change. I am also looking at Canada as my next home if Obama is denied this nomination. The OLD NEGRO is dead.

I am a black woman who will be voting for McCain if Hillary gets the nomination. She doesn't know how to work with people and we are tired of Bill Clinton affairs. The Democratic party should stop taking the African American vote for granted. I truly believe that Obama is a leader with character and knows how to talk with people.

I am a former national staff member for Walter Mondale's Vice Presidential Campaign. I will not be voting for Hillary Clinton. John McCain, if you are reading, lets gin up the machine and show me what you working with, cause change has gotta come and I don't care what vehicle I take to get there. The traditional white, union, so-called Reagan Democrat has taken their last advantage of this black/hispanic voter.

I am a Black Marylander, and have already made up my mind that I will not support Hillary Clinton if she is the nominee. I am also a life long 49 years democrat, retired military. I don't like the way she has portrayed Obama as a black man and will not support her, I will lways vote because of what we went through to get the vote, but I'll vote for McCain if Obama is not the nominee!

It's pretty strange to me that the media is reporting if HRC does not get the nomination that a higher percentage of her supporters would vote elsewhere. Well, if Obama does not get the nomination-you haven't seen nothing yet!!!!!!!!

Candidate most qualified? Sorry, folks, but McCain's got 'em both beat there. Then again, so did Bill Richardson.

If we hold our noses and vote for Hillary if she steals the nomination, what is to stop the democratic party from continuing to take us for granted in the future?

For someone to vote for Obama--who is liberal by U.S. Congressional standards, though not compared to some 3rd party politicians--suggests that they value a certain set of ideals on healthcare, the war, the economy, etc. that McCain will necessarily, due to his Republican platform, not deliver. Hillary Clinton's platform is very similar to Obama's. Therefore, for an Obama supporter to vote for McCain if Clinton gets the nom is not only illogical but self-defeating and downright embarassing. I do not want my fellow African- Americans--including me!-- branded with this irrationality and petty vindictiveness.

I lean towards Clinton and in general think she will be a better president in 2009. But if someone asked me would I throw over Obama-the-nominee for McCain out of spite that Clinton didn't win, I'd look at them like they were crazy.

I am not voting because I want my little pet project to win and to hell with the country. I am voting for the candidate I find more qualified. In her absence, I will vote for the next candidate that holds the closest policy views to hers (Obama).

Please, Black folks, do not make the grave mistake of pettily and vindictively throwing a temper tantrum if Obama's not the nominee. I extend the warning to Obama-supporters of all colors, and vice-versa to Clinton-supporters, as well!

Do black voters discuss Obama's position on issues? Do they talk about his values or what he's done or hasn't done for African Americans? I'm just wondering what it is about him that warrants the level of support he's receiving from black voters?

I would just like to know that his black skin alone doesn't make up for the way he handed off the low income African Americans to live and raise their children in Rezko's slums in return for millions of dollars in campaign contributions and a beautiful mansion with bonus garden that he received from Rezko in return.

I'd like to understand what Obama did other then having black skin that makes the African American people ignore the fact that Obama supports the Byrne grant program, the anti-drug program opposed by the ACLU and numerous other groups for being a corrupt and racist law enforcement program that targets African Americans. The program's responsible for some of the worst abuses of police power in this country. It has a zero fiscal accountability which makes it especially appealing to greedy politicians. Obama a civil rights man? This program is why our prisons are overflowing with African Americans caught up for petty drug crimes. Remember Tulia Texas?

The way I see it, The Rezko and Byrne Grant program are two examples of Obama being nothing More then an opportunist and largely at the expense of the lives of African Americans...and this is a pretty huge price for blacks to pay just to see this man become president. If Obama had white skin Al Sharpton would be leading a protest march down Michigan Avenue Over these abuses and this man.

Do you talk about why Obama campaigned for Raila Odinga? Odinga's the communist would-be president of Kenya whose first order of business once elected was to replace Kenya's democracy with Islamic law. Not only was Obama supporting Odinga but Gaddafi as well. Gaddafi and Odinga share the vision of a Pan African/Islamic Socialist nation based on Gaddafi's government. A Pan Africa is the dream of a lot of people but is imposing Islamic law part of that dream? How does Obama get away with claiming to be a proponent of democracy and freedom and then campaign hard for a man to be able to rid Kenya of democracy and replace it with Islamic law?

These are 3 big reasons why I won't vote for this man. I think the guy has a broken moral compass. Not to mention the fact that I have four kids that need health insurance and no matter how "affordable" Obama promises to make it, it's still more then I can afford to pay.

This article talks about the blacks that will be voting for McCain if Clinton gets the nomination and I'd really like to understand what this man has done other then having black skin to deserve your loyalty and our vote.

What do you know about Kenyan politics> Why are you spewing such bold face lies in here about Obama campaining for Odinga. By the way, Odinga is not the President of Kenya and he never introduced sharia law in Kenya. I am sure you can google ( I take it you went beyond 1st grade) the information. Stop being such a pathetic busybody good for nothing commentator. Ignorance is bliss.

Please if you are not equiped with the knowledge of what is happening on the other side of the continent, spare us your ignorance. I am from Kenya and the comment you just made about Obama campaining for Odinga in last year's elections is nothing but bull crap. If you can google ( I am sure you went beyond 1st grade) you will find out Odinga is not the President of Kenya, neither did he introduce sharia law in Kenya. I have never come across such level of ignorance in the land where information is at everybody's finger tips. Ijane, you are a pathetic busybody spreading rumors to seek attention. If you don't like Obama, that is fine, but please why tell bold face lies about somebody you don't even know.

Townsend ran almost no campaign. She thought she was a shoo-in and underestimated the amount of campaigning she had to do. I also notice that you don't provide any statistics on the number of black people switching parties to vote for Michael Steel. My sense of the election is that Democrats largely stayed home while people in rural Eastern Shore and Western Maryland came out in large numbers to support Ehrlich. I don't think Maryland's gubernatorial election parallels in any way, shape, or form to the 2008 presidential election.

Af-Ams not voting at all or voting Republican and effectively screwing this country if Obama doesn't make it to November would be an illogical, fatal temper tantrum. If you're voting merely to get a black President and would be willing to give up withdrawing from Iraq and universal healthcare in the process should things not turn out your way, perhaps you deserve your alleged disenfranchisement. Idiots.

McCain's infamous temper should make all Americans afraid, Be Very Afraid, if he gets in the White House. But, we also need to look at McCain's past actions concerning people of color. There's his epithet of "gook" hurled toward Asians and, his vote against a holiday for Dr. MLKing (twice). Actually, he went beyond mere votes and actively campaigned against the honor for Dr. King. There was a lot of ugly behavior during the civil rights movement. Was John McCain part of that ugly behavior. Maybe, some intrepid investigator can find out what Mr. McCain did in THAT war.

I think the MSM is totally out of touch with this one....I know that the African Americans have been upset with the Democratic party for some time. I think low African American turnout has killed the last 2 democratic candidates for governor in Florida. Whether they vote for McCain or stay home the math is not on Hillary's side...She has a ceiling of 51% (maybe) if she looses the African American vote which could be as high as 9% of the democratic base then she will loose. I think she deserves it and I think that Obama voters in NC and IN need to tell the exit pollsters that they are 100% Barack or staying home.

LOL! This article should be sent to the DNC. I live in Maryland and remember this election clearly. The bumper stickers caused so much ruckus amongst the dem party members, they accused Erlick of such deception and lies. However, the black community had already decided that KKT would not get their vote and C4 with his operateratives had planted the seeds way before the dem party could counter the move. It was beautifully played. What's so unfortunante, the DNC seem to have forgotten this ploy. If they don't remember, "they better ask somebody!" LOL

In that case, if people are dissatified why wouldn't black voters vote for one of the third party candidates instead. To me it defeats the purpose of progressives to vote for someone like McCain. It means that they are not thinking of the authority the President has to appoint judges who of course have lifetime tenure and will decide case that will affect people's lives for decades to come.

Obama the surrogate in November should be treated properly but NOT heeded. Given the performance, to date (i.e. already enough evidence), of that despicable spectacle aka the Clinton campaign, imagine the long term signal (to generations of would be Clintonians) if blacks dutifully toed the line and voted for Hillary in November. [ If one thinks the Democratic Party takes blacks for granted now, do that and one will see take for granted far, far into the future. un Clintonianism should be rejected now]. So if it comes to that, option 3 ----- NOBODY ------ is choice 1. This should be done very calmly and non-whiningly.

The stereotypes continue. Whites in PA didn't vote for Obama, according to him, because they were bitter, xenophobic, gun and Bible clutchers.

Now, according to Keith Reed, there are bitter, bite your nose off to spite your face, young black people who'll vote for the elephant in the room if the crooked white lady takes the job.

Classic, riot and burn my own neighborhood down kind of mentality. Nevermind that Obama ran for president while having a Jeremiah Wright in the closet.

What kind of clown does it take to NOT see how so many conservative (and liberal) whites would take great issue with a black liberation theologian with a penchant for divisive 9/11 sermons as your spiritual guide? There is still a chance for Obama, but only because the field is devoid of alternatives. But if Obama doesn't win I'll bet black people will put if off on racism. I wonder if Obama picked his pastor on some subconscience psychological level so that he would fail, or have an excuse for failing?
