    i think that it was wrong because slavery isn't right and i believe that whites wouldn't like the fact of black people bossing them around

    I agree, when Roots aired, most of my White or Black friends did not believe that African Americans kept track of their ancestry. I was the only AA I knew that had a family that passed down stories through the generations.....

    I fail to see the point of this article? so what if roots is not entirelly factual? what it did for us greatly outweights whatever reasons academic nitpickers will use to justify this type of articles.
