I am a Cleveland Ohio resident, and I"m ashame of my poverty city. I to witness many boarded up, or abandoned buildings in this city. Alone with lack of jobs, as I see many young people hanging on street corners. I am a graduate of Cleveland State University with a bachelor's degree in social work. Since I've graduated from college I can't find a job here in social work. So I've been working temporary jobs, and it's not enough. I am so frustrated living here, and I want to relocate. So it's not just young folks who need jobs, it's also people like me in their 30's 40's and 50's.

Having recently visited Ohio for the first time in my life I do believe that there is some substance to Mr. Fullwood's suggestions. I was shocked by the level of poverty I witnessed in Cleveland. As a Social Worker of over 20 years and a New Yorker I thought I had seen it all but I was suprised to see the level of disenfranchised young people, blocks of boarded up homes and buildings and a resolve that this was all life had to offer.

I do believe that there is merit to Fullwood's suggestion that Senator Obama visit trade schools and daycare center. These young people must be infused with the "Audacity to Hope." Obama brings that message and these wonderful young people are desperate to hear it. We must always be sure to reach out to what some refer as "the least of them."

    Go Obama!! Go!!

Having returned (I hope temporarily) to the writer's neighborhood and city, I think he oversimplifies Senator Obama's national appeal. The punditocracy has labeled his support as among latte-sipping folk with college educations. However, recent primaries suggest that his appeal is spreading to white men and white women. Regrettably, the disaffected youth the writer speaks of do not vote. Those who are enrolled in trade or proprietary schools will vote if they have time. I think Ohio is ready for Obama; Hillary's new message is too much gloom and doom.
