The young clothing designer's star is rising as her four-year-old apparel company gets bigger. At 14 she started making dresses as a hobby in her small bedroom, selling her first one to a friend for $13 -- and the business took off from there. She got an extra boost from a high school course on entrepreneurship, which helped her put together a business plan that earned her second place in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship's 2009 national competition.
