I'm an advocate for black people setting out to achieve excellence, but I'm not convinced white America should be able to sit back and watch black America get its hiney spanked by the president and not get their turn at the belt.

It's not the most exciting message. But Ben Jealous is right. The NAACP's task in the 21st century is to turn racial equality into racial justice.
