If I'm honest, I must admit that none of Barack Obama's attributes are what tipped me over from Obama admiration to Obama love. It was something else entirely personal, or rather, someone else -- Michelle Obama. And his choice of her as wifely material is what makes me love him more.

Salon's article "First Lady Got Back" is a clear demonstration that despite the historic events of Nov. 4, there is still a lot to do about how we talk and think about black people. Especially black women who are often seen as no more than the mere sum of their body parts, especially that part.
