The ritual abuse of women has been an issue in our community for far too long -- men who beat up women should be shot and killed, and that's a "no-brainer." More complicated seems to be the idea that women should not hit men, and the imperical evidence that woman often instigate instances of domestic violence. Bottom line: Nobody hits anybody.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let’s remember what Chris Brown and Rihanna taught us: Battering is wrong, even if you’re cute and famous. And stop blaming the victim.
