Obama: 'They Talk About Me Like a Dog'
In response to his critics, President Obama stood up for himself, telling it like it is. In his response to the GOP attacks on his $50 billion infrastructure investment proposal, he stated, "They talk about me like a dog," which was off-script. Of course, because Jimi Hendrix used the line in a song in 1966, some folks want to know if he plans on citing Hendrix. Are they for real? This phrase is a fixture in the black community. Hendrix, like most black folks, probably heard this saying most of his life. The White House has not responded to the requests about citing Hendrix, which is good. Black people don't have to learn about black people through music. The president, who is black, doesn't have to listen to Hendrix, who is also black, to call a spade a spade, pun intended. For those of you who think you're on to something, you're on to nothing, except displaying how little you know about the president, Hendrix or black people.
