Michael Jackson Has Something to Tell Us

Jimi's concern is well-founded. This announcement does not elicit any feelings that could approximate joyful anticipation, unless it's that macabre joy in the bizarre, which is a different can of worms altogether. There was a time when a Michael Jackson announcement revolved around new albums or breathtaking new videos or how he was going to help a bunch of little kids and we thought that was really good of him. Now? Michael has become, at best, that cringe-worthy friend you grew up with who you can't help but hang out with because the past really did used to be something special but most of the present is spent hanging out on occasion, hoping against hope they don't do something bizarre, which they almost always do.
