Fox News has reportedly let go of liberal analyst Marc Lamont Hill for, ostensibly, having opinions that did not jibe with the level-headed bunch bankrolled by Rupert Murdoch. In fact, it was Murdoch himself who announced Hill's ouster at a shareholder's meeting on Friday. According to Mediaite:
Interestingly, the news was broken by News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch at the companies stockholders meeting today, reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Murdoch made the announcement after a shareholder asked about Hill’s “reputation of defending cop killers and racists.”
If you're waiting for more of an explanation, there isn't one at the moment. Neither side is saying very much in that regard.

Is it really a surprise? There have been far more radical remarks made by Glenn Beck, Hannity, and Billy Boy! Yet, there still employed. Fox News is a 'conservative' cable news channel. There is nothing 'fair and balance'.
There is nothing credible about Fox News. There always whining about shit! Your time will be better served in watching CNN or MSNBC.
That's what i want to know.
I am dissappointed he is gone, he provided a contrast to sanity that made me even more fervent in my conservative views.
I am sure his departure was more involved than is public knowledge.

I don't have cable, so I don't watch Fox on a regular basis. The appearances I have seen of him on that network were very informative. He was a perfect foil for Bill O'Reilly, who seemed to enjoy the lively debates they had. It's the Fox Network' s loss. Maybe Hill will come back to The Root.
Stating the obvious RE: FauxFiring. I wondered where he went off to after leaving The Root. I guess their experiment was FAIL material.

After reading this , my respect for Mr Hill has INCREASED DRAMATICALLY . I never understood why a man with Hills intellligence was on Fox so often .

I'm willing to bet his firing had more to do with Obama's camp deciding to go to war with FOX than Marc not being Juan Williams (duh?). Thanks Obie, tell your white women to shut up so a brother can at least have a job.

actually, he did "jive" with fox news, as "jive" means to have fun with, toy with, play with, extermporize on, even blackenize. but his views did not "jibe" with those of fox news, meaning that the two did not agree.
