Flint Serial Killer May Be Connected to Virginia Attacks
Composite Sketch of Suspected Serial Killer

The Flint, Mich., serial killer that is targeting elderly and vulnerable black men may have committed similar crimes in Virginia. The hunt for a serial killer, who is white and may have fatally stabbed five men, has been extended to Virginia, where three similar attacks have been reported. The killer may have stabbed 15 people to date, all but one of whom is black. Genesee County Prosecutor David Layton said Monday that a Michigan State Police-led task force is working with Leesburg, Va., police to determine whether the Flint-area suspect committed similar crimes in the last week. The time line suggests that the serial killer would have been able to carry out crimes in both states. Police are still saying that they are not sure if the attacks are racially motivated. We are sure that all but one of the victims are black, so we'll state the obvious: Black men, watch your backs, literally and figuratively.
