Beyoncé on Jay-Z: He's My Foundation

Behind every strong woman is a strong man, and Beyoncé is proof. The international pop star shared with Oprah Winfrey in their upcoming sit-down interview, airing Saturday at 8 p.m. E.T. on OWN, that she is very grateful for her husband, Jay-Z, reports MTV News.

"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," she tells Winfrey in a teaser for for Saturday's episode, released on Oprah.com, about her marriage to Jay-Z. "And, it just gives me such a foundation."

That groundwork was laid down long before Hova and Beyoncé ever got romantic. She added, "On so many levels [he's helped me]. We were friends first for a year and a half before we went on any dates, on the phone for a year and a half. And, that foundation is so important in a relationship. And just to have someone you just like is so important and someone that is honest."
