    Michael Jackson: I'm Speechless

The news is official. Michael Jackson is no longer with us. I'm shocked, anxious and shocked.  I actually need the night to absorb the news and have something clear to say.  However, I will leave you with this: Off the Wall is my all-time favorite Jackson single.  Off the Wall completely opened my door to Michael and I will love him forever for that song.  It was honest, melancholy, wise, accesible, haunting and a bit upbeat.  No matter how turbulent and complicated Michael's life became his talent, particularly his early talent, remains unmatched and deserves the highest praise.

    Until tomorrow...

Indeed He became a huge part of our growing up with his undying and untimely music and dance. However, the death of MJ didn’t stop there, his family is still seeking for more truth about his death and issues about his finances and especially the custody of his three children.

Yes, I am deeply saddened by the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Although his later life was in a very controversial and mind-bugging issue, still he has always a big part in our heart even though we don’t admit it. He became a huge part of our growing up with his undying and untimely music and dance. However, the death of MJ didn’t stop there, his family is still seeking for more truth about his death and issues about his finances and especially the custody of his three children. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop and perhaps the best selling artist of all time, has passed away at the tender age of 50. The internet has flooded with searches for Michael Jackson children photos, as the fate of his children is a subject of intense speculation. Many are concerned with who will assume responsibility for Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson. Prince and Paris were fathered with ex-wife Debbie Rowe, and who knows if the children will need cash loans after their late father's debts are settled. They may revert to the custody of Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, and fans may give pay day loans to get the results of autopsy for closure over what happened to Michael Jackson.

He didn't have a perfect life — but, he was perfectly talented and among the greatest artistic gifts African America gave to the world. Most of his biggest fans are beyond American shores. There was more to Michael Jackson than we will be able to fathom in one news story or event. How ironic that he passes in June — Black Music Month.

Let's say it, and be honest about it: Jackson was one of the first Black artist who gained and sustained both inter-generational, multi-ethnic and global appeal — STILL to this day. I for one, being that Michael Jackson was part of the soundtrack to many of our lives, will be doing my own personal retrospective about this genuinely phenomenal and gifted artist-entertainer.

How unfortunate, after he just turned 50, that too many of our best and brightest still die too young. I hope BET and TV One get it right tonight and the rest of this month, and do the right thing — a lengthy substantive (in depth) retrospective-documentary on the man, the music, the roots and his impact. We deserve to know and remember much more about this most remarkable "Man In the Mirror."
