Stephon "Starbury" Marbury on TV - It's Not Pretty

    Starbury

Former Celtics player and free agent Stephon "Starbury" Marbury is on TV.  You heard right.  Starbury has pulled off his shirt, bleached his teeth and joined the rising popularity of Justin tv.  And yes, it's a bit like watching a train wreck and a provocative single-camera born again Christian ministry.  Starbury has basically set up a camera in his California home and walks around, bare-chested, quoting scripture, praising God, trashing the NBA naysayers, promoting Starbury shoes, and showing off his multi-million dollar home [all thanks to God].  He occasionally breaks out into song and dance and dares anyone to discredit his ability to take over Hollywood as an actor and director.

A friend of mine called last week and told me about the Starbury train wreck.  He also warned me it wasn't going to pretty.  In fact, my buddy was convinced Starbury had slipped into insanity or drug use, or both.  We all know Starbury's been called the whiniest and the most reviled NBA player in the history of the NBA.  Many believe he's also the reason Knicks coach Larry Brown was fired.  What am I talking about?  He is the reason.  But with a Knicks and Celtics contract under his belt as well as a sexual harassment trial, Starbury is on TV.  It appears he wants to convince the world he's a NBA player with a repented soul and that he has what it takes to make it big on the sliver screen.  Ipso facto, Starbury TV is one  big ol’ commercial for God that also serves as an audition tape for Tinseltown.
