So... I'm walking home from my morning workout in Fort Greene Park, sipping on some coconut water, and the racist attack against 11-year-old Malia Obama stood up in my mind and demanded attention. When I heard about the remarks at the Free Republic a few days ago, you know, the ghetto street trash/abortion crazy, I told myself I would keep my mouth shut. The remarks were harmless. Right? I thought I could file them away under the "racist ramblings of Americans who will hopefully be obliterated from the planet by some plague that only targets racists". Then something snapped. I don't know if it was the coconut water and its super electrolytes, or walking by two black joggers sipping coffee and discussing the horror of the remarks. Their nine-year-old daughter stood nearby eating a bagel and listening.
I know this is a long shot, but President Obama needs to pass a law that deems all forms of racism as homeland terrorism. Yeah, I said it. Terrorism punishable by exportation to some remote island deep in the Atlantic where there are very little resources and an excruciating sun. I also think anyone making racist remarks about the president's daughter should be stoned. I know, I know, this my second time this week suggesting public stoning in the event of extreme crazy, but desperate times calls for desperate... well, you know the rest.
