The Post Apologizes for The Cartoon
The New York Post has issued the standard non-apology, and given that there was no tangible goal to all the outrage and protesting, this will probably be the end of things. I don’t think this will lead to a change in editorial policy—it is the Post, after all. Of course, The Post will do this again.
I wish, just once, all the outrage and marching mapped to a change we can all see. But it rarely does. People that deal in offending people always win against folks who try to bank off of the outrage.
What would you like to see happen now? What should Sharpton and the outrage merchants be trying to accomplish?
