P Diddy’s Mysterious Announcement

The music mogul claims that he's joining the cast of Downton Abbey, but PBS says it's not true.

(The Root) — If there’s any overlap between fans of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and the hit PBS show Downton Abbey, they will be very excited about the rap mogul’s big news today: He announced on Twitter that he’ll be joining the cast of the show as a series regular.

Downton Abbey is a British historical drama set in Yorkshire in the United Kingdom that follows the Crawley family through major events in history. According to Wikipedia, it is the most watched television show on both ITV and PBS since 1981.

Combs teased his 8 million-plus followers 30 minutes before dropping the news, saying that Downton Abbey is one of his favorite shows. Oddly enough, rumors are now swirling that P. Diddy isn’t actually on as a series regular, according to PBS.

Though he did receive some congratulations, he was met with mostly tweets of confusion as people tried to figure out whether or not the news was real. Take a look at some of Twitter’s reactions below.
