If Russia seems to be becoming more powerful, it’s because President Barack Obama and his mom jeans don’t properly portray the strength of the United States—at least that’s what former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin thinks.
In a Monday night interview with Fox host Sean Hannity, Palin claimed that President Vladimir Putin was once again trying to grow the Russian empire.
“Anyone who carries the common sense gene would know that Putin doesn’t change his stripes. He harkens back to the era of the czars, and he wants that Russian empire to grow again. He wants to exert huge power and dominance. He has to get to those border areas and he has to capture them,” she said.
Palin blamed Obama’s weakness as a leader for an emboldened Putin, even as negations are in progress over the invasion of Crimea.
“Obama’s perception … and his potency across the world is one of such weakness .. People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates,” the one-time vice presidential hopeful told Hannity.
“We are not exercising that peace through strength that only can be brought to you courtesy of the red, white and blue, that only a strengthened United States military can do,” she added. “That is the only way our world will be safer, more secure.”
