While it is important for the president of the United States to maintain bipartisanship, all bets are off when it comes to hoops.

President Obama's official Twitter account, which has some 39 million followers, tweeted Chicago native and hometown favorite Derrick Rose before the opening of the NBA season against the Miami Heat.

While it is unclear whether the president actually tweeted the message himself, since he is both a Chicagoan and a basketball enthusiast, it is safe to say that he approves of its content.
