Voting Rights: Feds Set to Mess With Texas

After the Supreme Court decision, the DOJ will ask a court to restore oversight of the state's voting procedures.

But the two rulings were nullified by the Supreme Court’s decision to invalidate part of the VRA. In a new challenge of the redistricting map, plaintiffs have asked a federal court in San Antonio to adopt last year’s findings by judges in Washington, D.C., who, as Holder noted on Thursday, said that the case contained “more evidence of discriminatory intent than we have space, or need, to address here.”
