More Nat'l Geographic First Lady Jokes: School Board Member Fired

If this is what "no intention to be inappropriate looks like," we'd hate to see Herb DeGroft's more offensive messages.

Here's some of what Wright County, Va., school board member Herb DeGroft thought was a good idea to send to colleagues: a depiction of bare-breasted "female warriors," with the caption, "Michelle Obama's high school reunion," and a message that claimed the first lady was paid $50 to model in National Geographic.

Funny? Apparently, in his world. Original? Not in the least (plus, school board members say they've been receiving similar emails from him since January 2012). Racist, sexist and disrespectful? Yes, to all of the above.

But get this. According to the Huffington Post, Groft said, "There was no intention or motivation ... to be inappropriate ... discriminatory against anyone." His fellow board members, evidently not convinced, voted 4 to 1 to call for him to step down.
