Obama's Top Correspondents' Dinner Jokes

For some, the POTUS was funnier than comedian Conan O'Brien.

On Saturday night, President Obama took the White House Correspondents’ Dinner podium as DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win" played, and that was only the beginning of the jokes. Politico rounded up his best barbs, including his note of the Republicans' attempt to attract more minorities. Their efforts, he joked, could start with him.

"Some folks still don't think I spend enough time with Congress. 'Why don’t you get a drink with Mitch McConnell?' they ask. Really? Why don't you get a drink with Mitch McConnell?"

"I know CNN has taken some knocks lately but the fact is, I admire their commitment to covering all sides of the story, just in case one of them happens to be accurate." . . .  

"One thing [the Republican Party] agrees on is the need to do a better job of reaching out to minorities. And look, call me self-centered, but I can think of one minority they can start with. [Raises his hand] Think of me as a trial run, see how it goes."
