Mitt Romney Called Winner of Illinois GOP Primary

Santorum is projected to come in second place in President Obama's home state.

Television networks are projecting that Mitt Romney will handily win the Illinois Republican presidential primary. According to the Washington Post, Fox News was the first channel to make the call. Rick Santorum, who had said that he'd take the GOP nomination if he won Illinois, is projected to come in second.
