Romney's Slogan Used by Ku Klux Klan

"Keep America American" slogan has many asking questions.

Mitt Romney

Every presidential candidate's worst nightmare is to be mentioned in the same sentence with something that can derail his or her shot at the White House.

Now, being mentioned in the same breath as the Ku Klux Klan may not end Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney's campaign, but it sure doesn't help the free-falling former governor of Massachusetts. According to Americablog, Romney's go-to-campaign phrase of "Keep America American" was once a central theme of Klan publications in the 1920s and served as a rallying cry for the group's campaign of violence against minority groups.

While Romney has yet to comment on this story, you have to wonder how his team didn't investigate more thoroughly something as important as a campaign slogan.

Was this just a coincidence? Does the Romney campaign feel this slogan is just as perfect now as the Klan thought it was in the 1920s? What are your thoughts on this? Read more at the Huffington Post.
