Man Punches and Kills 64-Year-Old in NYC

Police released video of Patrick Gorman getting sucker-punched in an attack that led to his death.

In a video recently released by police, a man in a white T-shirt can be seen walking up to Patrick Gorman, 64, in the Queens borough of New York City and then knocking him to the ground with one punch, the New York Daily News. The attack occurred June 26.

After he punches Gorman, the attacker can be seen calmly walking away with a woman. According to the Daily News, the man attacked Gorman after the 64-year-old accidentally bumped into the woman.

According to the Daily News, Gorman was treated for head trauma at a local hospital. He was subsequently transferred to another hospital, where he later died. New York City’s medical examiner ruled the death a homicide last week.

Police are on the lookout for Gorman’s attacker and the woman he was walking with. He is described as black, between ages 30 and 35, with short black hair.
