Police in Oklahoma are looking for a man who allegedly wounded several people, including two police officers, and killed two of his relatives during a Sunday-night shooting rampage.

The Washington Post reports that Michael Dale Vance, 38, is wanted on two counts of first-degree murder, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and one count of possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Police said that Wellston, Okla., police officers were responding to a disturbance call around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Lincoln County, not far from Oklahoma City. As officers were questioning Vance and another suspect, Tony Heavner, the two men opened fire on the officers.

Lincoln County Sheriff Charles Dougherty said at a news conference that officers were trying to gather information when one of the suspects “came out with an AK-47 and just opened fire on everybody.”

The officers, identified as Shawn Stewart and Jimmy Hampton, returned fire. Both officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital Sunday night.

Police said that Heavner was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Vance was shot an unknown number of times and fled the area in a police patrol vehicle. Police said that he appeared in two Facebook Live videos during his getaway. In both videos, he is wearing a backward baseball cap and a blood-stained T-shirt. He talks about his getaway plans and mentions how much pain he is in.

Two videos were posted Monday morning by CBS affiliate News 9.

In the first video, the man identified as Vance says, “This is more intense than I thought it was going to be, to say the least. This truck is about to go dead. I need it to get out of the road, which I hope it does, cause I’m about to steal another car. This s–t is going to be intense. Watch this, people.”

In the second video, the same man appears to be in a different vehicle and seems to be speaking directly to various family members. He also shows what appears to be a rifle in the car next to him and says, “That’s the real deal. It ain’t a joke. This ain’t a prank.”

Later in the video he says, “If you want to know what’s next, stay tuned to your local news.”

Early Monday morning, local authorities were alerted by an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations agent that a man suspected to be Vance had shot a convenience store clerk in Sayre, Okla., near the Texas Panhandle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released a “Wanted” poster on Monday that says Vance “has a medical condition and may try to spread disease.”

The U.S. Marshals Service is providing assistance with the fugitive investigation.
