  • Bio: There's an air of old-school sophistication about John Legend, and not least because he's a clean-cut celeb with a conscience. Since the beginning of his career, Legend has been involved in philanthropic causes from Hurricane Katrina to HIV, Haiti to education reform. The eight-time Grammy-winning singer and songwriter recently released his fourth album, Love in the Future, on Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, chock-full of Legend's signature smooth odes to love and rich sensuality. He also has collaborated with numerous rappers from Rick Ross to Jay Z. However, Legend remains thoughtful and vocal about the current cultural landscape. "Hip-hop has a strong misogynistic streak that we should try to get rid of," he says. "More rappers should be careful about what they say about women. I think they're trying to sound tough … but to me, it just sounds like you're an asshole."Visit his website and like his Facebook page.
  • Fun Fact: Legend was home-schooled as a child and graduated from high school at 16.
