  • Bio: Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has had yet another bang-up, breakneck-paced year. It began with a January performance of the national anthem for President Obama's second inauguration, as well as a GQ cover as "the Sexiest Woman of the 21st Century." In February, she followed up with a Super Bowl performance that literally shut the game down (and apparently was the most tweeted-about event in Twitter's history). The 16-time Grammy winner then released her self-produced documentary "Life Is But a Dream" on HBO, lent her curves to H&M's Summer 2013 campaign and kicked off her worldwide "Mrs. Carter" tour, which will continue through year's end.The newest thing of all for the still-new mother, though, is her willingness to take political stances, endorsing same-sex marriage, attending a public rally after the acquittal of Trayvon Martin's killer and becoming a U.N. ambassador for World Humanitarian Day. Her word, #strength, was shared on social media, and raised millions for children around the world. Visit her website and like her Facebook page.
