  • High-ranking communications adviser for Mitt Romney.
  • Job: Senior communications adviser for Mitt Romney
  • Sector: Government/Politics

  • Location: Washington, D.C.
  • Age: 42
  • Bio: After spending more than a decade as a newscaster and talk-show host, Tara Wall joined the Republican National Committee in 2004 as a senior adviser. Subsequently, she was appointed by George W. Bush to be the director of public affairs for the Administration of Children and Families and was the deputy editorial page editor for the Washington Times -- as well as a political analyst seen frequently on cable news. But in May she landed what is perhaps her most high-profile job yet: She's Mitt Romney's senior communications adviser and has the challenge of delivering her boss's message to a largely Democratic block of black voters. She told Urban Faith in June, "Our goal is not to take any vote for granted. We also have to make sure that we're continuing to reach out broadly to our base, our base of black conservatives, Republicans, moderates, those who have supported us in the past and those who may have voted for Obama, but are looking for us to say, 'Come back home.'
