  • Bio: Mario Armstrong became Baltimore's first chief technology officer in 2002 for then-Mayor Martin O'Malley. A technology and digital-lifestyle expert for NBC's Today show and HLN, Armstrong is an advocate for exposing youths to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education for career and entrepreneurship opportunities. He gradually built his media company into a full-time entity after convincing his wife, Nicole, to quit her job and become CEO of the new business -- just months before he was laid off. He attempts to enhance people's personal and professional well-being by showing them how to leverage technology. "I really want to make sure my tips save people money and help people maximize their lives and businesses," he says.
