  • Bio: Esperanza Spalding continues to be a young standard bearer for jazz and alternative popular music. In February she sang Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" at the 84th Academy Awards, alongside the Southern California Children's Chorus, to accompany the In Memoriam video montage. In March she released her fourth studio album, Radio Music Society. Spalding, who sings in English, Spanish and Portuguese, also won the 2011 best new artist Grammy, beating out Justin Bieber and Drake.
