  • Bio: Charles M. Blow has become a familiar face on TV -- and a frequent target for conservative critics -- in the run-up to the presidential election. Blow, who joined the New York Times in 1994 as a graphics editor and quickly moved up to become the paper's graphics director before starting a weekly column in 2008, was one of the leading voices on the Trayvon Martin case in the first half of 2012 and received some of the blowback, including a racist voicemail that he released in April. His column typically features charts, but it's mainly his words, written and spoken, that continue to spark conversation and debate about social and political issues of the day.
