  • Bio: Already an entertainment icon, Beyoncé Knowles makes our list this year for her political activism, humanitarian efforts and for finally joining the Internet with a Tumblr page. Her performance of "I Was Here" for a World Humanitarian Day PSA video premiered in August. In September plans were announced for her to host a fundraiser for President Barack Obama's campaign at her husband Jay-Z's hip 40/40 club. On the personal front, in January she gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter after a closely watched pregnancy. People magazine named her the World's Most Beautiful Woman of 2012 in April, and the 16-time Grammy winner told the magazine that being a mother has made her feel more beautiful than ever: "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth." She's also still a hit-maker. Last year her latest studio CD, 4, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts.Like her Facebook page and watch her performance of "I Was Here."
