The Root will be hosting two of our favorite events the same night in Atlanta, and whether you’re a man or woman, you won’t want to miss out!
If you’re looking for a girls’ night out filled with networking, great conversation and fun, come join us for our Young, Fabulous & Female event in Atlanta on Dec. 5.
The YFF panel will include Saptosa Foster, managing partner of the 135th Street Agency; Melissa McGhie Proctor, chief marketing officer for the Atlanta Hawks; filmmaker-screenwriter-producer Rasheena Nash; Denise Hendricks, producer at HLN; Danasia Fantastic, publisher and founder of TheUrbanRealist; and Dr. Heavenly Kimes, from Married to Medicine.
And to all of our men, don’t think we forgot about you! The Root’s manCODE will be a multigenerational conversation about being a black man, drawing on family, equality and legacy.
Panelists for manCODE include award-winning journalist Keith Reed; activist DeUndre Eberhart; The Root’s political editor, Jason Johnson; tech innovator Iziah Reid; and entrepreneur B.J. Kerr.
This year’s theme is “Shift Your Focus.”
Both events will hold a prepanel reception 6-7 p.m., followed by the main panel discussion 7-8 p.m. The two events will join together in a post-event party with a DJ.
The two events will be held at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta on 3300 Peachtree Road NE.
