President Barack Obama turned 53 on Monday, and the Associated Press notes that POTUS spent his birthday weekend playing golf with his childhood friends and then hit his Maryland hideaway, Camp David, for a little rest and relaxation.

On Saturday Obama hit the greens at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland for a game of golf with friends Mike Ramos, Bobby Titcomb and Greg Orme, who go back to president's Hawaii days, along with four other golfers, according to the New York Daily News.

The Daily News notes that the president headed to Camp David later that day and then returned to the White House Sunday afternoon.

USA Today reports that the president doesn't seem to have any fun birthday plans on his schedule, since he has a few meetings in the morning and then a sitdown with Treasury Secretary Jack Lew. Monday also marks the first official day of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, but USA Today notes that the president isn't slated to address the summit until Tuesday.
