Oprah Winfrey is bringing out the big guns for her new venture—an eight-city inspirational tour that will encourage attendees to be their best, Variety reports.
It has been dubbed “Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend,” and the mogul’s magazine, cable network and Harpo production company, along with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, will be leading the project. Sponsors include Toyota and Procter & Gamble’s Olay.
According to Variety, each stop on the tour will extend over a weekend. On the Friday nights, Winfrey will talk about her own life. On the Saturdays, participants will attend day-long meetings with thought leaders such as Deepak Chopra; Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love; and pastor and author Rob Bell.
Tickets start at $99, with VIP packages available at extra cost. Tickets will go on sale April 7 at 10 a.m. at www.oprah.com/tour.
“All of my life I have wanted to lead people to an empathy space. To a gratitude space,” Winfrey said in a statement, according to Variety. “I want us all to fulfill our greatest potential. To find our calling, and summon the courage to live it.”
As for the sponsors, they aim to gain from Oprah’s devoted female audience.
“Olay is excited to be partnering with ‘Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend’ to spread the message that women should never have to settle and help them put their best face forward—the best possible version of themselves every day,” Lela Coffey, Procter & Gamble’s beauty care marketing director for North America, said in a statement.
Jack Hollis, vice president of marketing at Toyota U.S.A., said: “By partnering with ‘Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend,’ we hope to empower countless women from coast to coast to strive toward greater levels of achievement.”
