Knicks guard Raymond Felton was formally charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and one count of criminal possession of a firearm after Felton's estranged wife turned in to police a gun that was stored at their house.

Appearing in court on Tuesday, Felton appeared upbeat and did not enter a plea as is normal at this point in the process, ESPN reports.

While some news outlets reported that Felton had pointed the firearm at his wife, ESPN notes that no domestic charges were revealed during Tuesday's court proceedings.

Felton was issued a six-month order of protection from his wife, and bail was set at $25,000. Bail has been posted, and there are no legal restrictions on his ability to travel.

Knicks management has stated that Felton will practice Wednesday and play in Thursday's road game against Miami, ESPN reports.

Court was adjourned in Felton's case until June 2, at which point grand-jury action may take place. Each weapons charge is a felony in New York state.

ESPN notes that neither Felton nor his attorney spoke as they left the courtroom.
