Martin Luther King's Secretary to Auction Collection

Maude Ballou, who was King's personal secretary, is selling handwritten notes and a page from his "I Have a Dream" speech, among other items.

Attorneys who represented the King estate in the lawsuit did not immediately respond to messages Wednesday.

Ballou's collection appears to contain an abundance of artifacts. We hope that they land in a public space where everyone can learn from them.
