Updated Thursday, May 2, 5:04 p.m. EDT: Kelly's death "may have been a possible drug overdose," Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County, Ga., police, told CBS News. This, she said, was based on statements received at the scene as well as evidence that turned up at Kelly's home in south Atlanta.

Earlier:

Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly, one half of the '90s rap duo Kris Kross, was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon after being found unresponsive in his Georgia home, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was 34.

Kelly and his musical partner, Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith, were child stars known for their 1992 hit "Jump" and wearing their clothes backward. They recently reunited onstage at the anniversary concert for their mentor Jermaine Dupri's So So Def record label.

A cause of death has not been announced.
