Friday, Dec. 21, 10 a.m. EST: Good Morning America remembers Travyon in year in review: The case of his shooting death by George Zimmerman and the national outrage that surrounded it are included in the ABC show's video roundup of 2012's top stories, in addition to the election, Whitney Houston's untimely death, Hurricane Sandy and gun violence.

Tuesday, Dec. 18, 10:38 a.m. EST: Trayvon's mother calls for an end to gun violence: After the Newtown, Conn., school shooting, Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon Martin's mother, told the audience at the Hurting Families With Children in Crime fifth annual breakfast in Jacksonville, Fla., that it is time for America to re-examine its attitude toward guns, the Jacksonville Times-Union reports. The event was a fundraiser for the organization's support of the families of both victims and perpetrators of crimes.
