Black TV Watch: Mariah Sings 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' on 'Fallon'

The singer brings the holiday cheer. Plus: Michael Strahan looks "ew" as a girl, and Keyshia calms down.

Mariah Carey with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots (NBC)

(The Root) -- On a few of Tuesday night's TV shows, it seemed like everyone was happy -- from Mariah Carey to Michael Strahan. Even Keyshia Cole's attitude was lifted. Must be the holiday season.

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (Tuesday, 12:35 a.m. ET; NBC)

Highlight: All any Mariah Carey "stan" probably wants for Christmas is for his or her fave diva to perform "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Jimmy Fallon helped make that wish some true when he performed the song with Mariah, the Roots, a few little kids and an assortment of child-size percussion instruments. This is what the holiday season is all about.

"You kind of look like the main girl on the show ... It's in your eyes." --Michael Strahan

"I went with my mom and dad, and they were holding hands the whole time. Talk about awkward." --Michael Strahan as Kelly Tompkins

Highlight: Morning talk-show host and former NFL star Michael Strahan is a far cry from Regis Philbin, but that doesn't mean he hasn't made an exceptional replacement for the TV icon on the show that's now known as Live! With Kelly and Michael. Even funnier than Strahan's rapport with Kelly was his character on "Ew" -- a skit he performed with Jimmy Fallon. Michael played Kelly Tompkins, a "BFFL" (i.e., best friends for life) of Sara (Fallon). Like a preteen female version of SNL's "Wayne's World" skit, Kelly demonstrates his/her cheerleading skills, and the duo spend their time making awkward faces and evaluating random things -- like snakes, gingerbread and Robert Redford -- based on their "ew" factor. Strahan in a plaid skirt? Triple "ew."

Keyshia & Daniel: Family First (Tuesday, 10 p.m. ET; BET)

"Before, I would move how I wanted to move, but now I'm concerned about how we move as a family." --Keyshia

"I'm not going to kiss anybody just for the sake of the video." --Keyshia

Highlight: Keyshia is in the middle of filming the music video for "Trust and Believe," and all she can think about is her family. Could this mean hot-tempered Keyshia is gone for good? If so, we thank you, Daniel, for your stabilizing influence.
