President Obama won on Nov. 6, despite GOP voter-suppression tactics. In Ohio, Secretary of State John Husted used the full force of his power to restrict early voting and voting hours. But in spite of his efforts, African Americans showed up in lines that snaked down streets to cast their ballots — and adhere to Husted’s varying mandates. MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry wasn’t impressed by Husted’s actions and delivered an open letter to the secretary of state, reminding him that voters will remember his actions when he faces re-election in 2014.
