Mistrial declared in police-brutality case: A Pittsburgh jury could not decide issues such as whether police officers used excessive force against Jordan Miles, setting up a retrial for certain accusations, Ebony reports. While walking to his grandmother's house, Miles was approached and beaten up by three plainclothes police officers who claimed that they thought he was a drug dealer and was carrying a gun. Pictures of his badly beaten face went viral.
