Steve Harvey is slated to bring his comedic flair to a nationally syndicated Chicago-based talk show this fall, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The hour-long daytime chat fest will be filmed downtown at NBC Tower and air at 2 p.m. on WMAQ-Channel 5.

The veteran comic and Cleveland native plans to bring a “funny, fresh, insightful and common sense approach to life’s everyday moments,” according to a statement issued Monday by NBCUniversal and the program’s producer, Endemol USA.

The 55-year-old father of twin daughters will cover “a vast range of relatable topics, such as marriage, dating, parenting, workplace, friendship and the daily dramas we face throughout our lives, all with his unique comedic spin.”

Harvey has had a successful run with his syndicated morning radio show, which began in 2000. It can be heard in Chicago on WVAZ-FM (102.7) ...

Good for Harvey, who has been on a roll since his appearance in The Original Kings of Comedy in 2000. More recently, he can be seen on television hosting the game show Family Feud, a role that he'll continue, Harvey tweeted on Monday, according to the Sun-Times.
