The Rich Stick It to the Richer

The Root Recommends: Don Cheadle as a cunning consultant in the new comedy series House of Lies.

Don Cheadle gets grimy in Showtime's new series House of Lies, in which he plays a conniving management consultant intent on scaring billion-dollar corporations into spending their money on him.

The show, based on Martin Kihn's book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, portrays consultants as the savvy and sometimes ruthless individuals who stop at nothing to close a deal, even if they have to lie to their clients to do it.

We love Cheadle, so we're tuning in to Showtime on Sunday, Jan. 8, to watch the premiere. Watch the trailer below.
