The Root Recommends: Sade on Tour

R&B band Sade returns to the stage.

After more than a decade-long respite, English R&B/smooth jazz band Sade will return to the stage, visiting more than 40 cities on their much anticipated European and North American tour.

In February 2010, Sade released their first studio album in 10 years, Soldier of Love, to critical acclaim. The album quickly peaked at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop album charts, where it held the top spot for a month.

Sade will begin the U.S. leg of their tour in Baltimore on June 16. The equally soulful John Legend will be opening for the group. To find out more information or to get tickets, visit Ticketmaster.
