Wardrobe Malfunction: Beyoncé and Jay-Z Booed at Met Gala

Her dress was too tight to walk in. When she cut the photos short, the press got an attitude. Watch the video.

Last night, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual gala celebrating its Costume Institute and honoring the late designer Alexander McQueen, Beyoncé wore a dress that was a serious tribute to art and fashion ... but not so much to the ability to move freely.

She and Jay-Z posed for photographers but cut the shoot short after Beyoncé had a (really) tough time getting up the steps in her cinched Emilio Pucci gown, according to Necole Bitchie. The remaining press, evidently feeling snubbed and/or deprived, began booing the couple.

It goes without saying that this mermaid gown wasn't the best choice for a person who would ideally have been able to get from point A to point B without her husband's assistance (although we thought the way Jay stepped in to help was kind of sweet). But Beyoncé probably won't lose much sleep over this red-carpet wardrobe malfunction. After all, if imitation is the best form of flattery, then having a bunch of professional adults throw temper tantrums over being unable to get a photo of you has to be the second best.
