Don Cheadle will star in Showtime's "House of Lies."

EURweb is reporting that Showtime has ordered a new Don Cheadle comedy based on the book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time. Shortened to House of Lies for Showtime, the series stars the Academy Award-nominated Cheadle as a self-loathing management consultant from a top-tier firm. House of Lies will be a half-hour dark comedy created and written by Matthew Carnahan of Dirt fame. Jessica Borsicsky (Flashforward) will serve as executive producer, and Emmy-winner Stephen Hopkins (Californication, 24) will direct.

Comingsoon.net reports that Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins said, "Don Cheadle is one of the great dramatic actors of our generation." Nevins added, "He also happens to be an extremely funny man. House of Lies is the perfect show to take advantage of both sides of him. Honestly, I would have been happy just to get his autograph."

Don Cheadle is doing his thing in Hollywood and abroad. We'll be setting our DVRs for this show. Will you?
