American Express Sues Jasmine Guy

Actress Jasmine Guy gets slammed with a lawsuit after racking up more than $86,000 in credit card debt.

Unlike her A Different World character Whitley Gilbert, it appears that money isn't coming easy for Jasmine Guy these days. Turns out the actress is currently being sued by American Express for more than $86,000 in unpaid credit card bills, which include delinquent costs, interests and lawyer fees.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the 49-year-old actress "has received the monthly billings statements without protest and has not advised American Express that such statements were in error in any respect."

It was recently announced that Guy will be joining the cast of Sam Shepard's play Fool for Love, alongside Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon, this May in Atlanta. We all know where those paychecks are going.
