The Root Recommends: Jennifer Hudson's New Album

The singer bounces back from tragedy with her second studio album, I Remember Me.

Since her last album, Jennifer Hudson has endured a lifetime's worth of highs and lows. After getting married, having a child and tragically losing her mother, brother and nephew in a triple homicide, Hudson shares the pleasure and pain of those experiences with her new album, I Remember Me.

The 12-track album, slated for release on March 22, includes collaborations with Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, R. Kelly and Ne-Yo. Listen to the entire album now on AOL.

Previous recommendation: Janet Jackson's New Tour.
